The Spurwink Institute

Spurwink Institute provides a wide variety of trainings for workforce and professional development and for specialized services designed to assist individuals and organizations in Maine, New England and across the United States. Current areas of emphasis include:

Spurwink Institute’s consulting, education and training programs focus on students, teachers and staff at all academic levels and employees in the fields of mental health, behavioral health, juvenile justice and adult corrections. The Spurwink Institute works in diverse settings, including K-12 public and private schools, community colleges and universities, mental and behavioral health facilities, jails, prisons and correctional centers, and over the World Wide Web. The Spurwink Institute specializes in providing customized services to individuals, families, state agencies, private businesses, and other not-for-profit organizations.

Spurwink Institute was established in 1986 as an adjunct of The Spurwink School (now known as Spurwink Services).  The Institute is currently comprised of three major divisions: ALLTech, the Behavioral Health Sciences Institute and the Center for Corrections and Public Safety.
